O_o

Very cute, but the animation was far too short! ^_^
Without the artists' clarification about the plot of this short flash, I would never have figured out what was going on. Really, it was a little confusing. It's more fun to re-watch after knowing the plot.

Endless Sorrow/Tears of Joy

Emotionally stirring.

Had a few of those 'almost tears' while smiling at the happy/sorrowful parts.

Very well thought out. I'll be watching this again, in private of course... Don't want anyone seeing me shed a tear over anything! /Added to Favourites.

You won't get bored of this one!

I always smile, thinking that such a small kid could hold such power over a zombie horde!

An old story theme, redone to include (ZOMG) ZOMBIES!!!

As a zombie-lover, I find I cannot give a fair vote based on style, graphics, or plot. Zombies rule: period. Naturally, this one gets the full 10 points, for originality, cuteness, dark humor, and of course...

ZOMBIES!!!

The best one in the series.

Ida's Luck Part 1 is my favourite flash done so far by Katy Towell.

For once we have a 'good' Skary girl, with excellent emotion portrayed from her sad little face. The storyline is definately creepy and disturbing, with elements of demons, magic, innocence, danger, and constant sorrow mixed in.

The fact that Ida is indeed innocent and exceptionally brave in a cold world that fears her makes her all the more adorable. She has the most personality and back-story compared to the other Childrin R Skary kids.

The ending is a teaser, but expertly done. Making a second part was nice but not necessary. The end of part 1 was so well done that Katy could have left it and it would have been perfect all on it's own.

Watching this will only make you want to watch it again and again. A definate winner. Enjoy!

Amazing

Until I stumbled across this flash, I had never even heard of Crookedsixpence or Skary.net before.

The creepy but still beautiful expression of whimsical fairy-tale horror in this flash mesmerized me. It actually amazed me. I had just 'discovered' something simply fantastic.

As I explored the authors' other submissions, I found an entire series of hauntingly beautiful flashes. Katy Towell is an amazing artist, and this work of hers is truly one of a kind.

I have this particular flash to thank, for showing me an art style that I've always loved, but never seen. If I never stumbled across this particualr flash, I'd have missed out on a world of great art.

Thank you Katy (Crookedsixpence).
